The Vocationist Sisters began their mission in India in 1995. Archbishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam welcomed Vocationist Sisters intoVocationist Sisters in Indian Communities his diocese with open hearted. The first group of candidates for sisters began their candidacy close to Madona Retreat Center which is present Minor Seminary of Thrissur Arch Diocese.  Some members of Sisters of Charity helped the formation of Indian Sisters until they go for their two years novitiate in Italy.

God blessed them generously with many vocations to serve and promote vocation through the intercession of their founder venerable Fr. Justin M. Russolillo. They established two more communities - Mannuthy and Puthur - in diocese of Thrissur along with a nursery school in Puthur in 2004.

Indian Sisters are working as missionaries of Vocationist throughout the world by the grace of God.
