Since April 2008, the Vocationist Fathers work in the United Kingdom with a community in Holywell (Wales) Diocese of Wrexham. The community provides pastoral care to the parish of Saint Winefride, and to a Shrine in honour of the same saint. This shrine contains a sacred well, that has given the name to the town; (The waters of this well are considered miraculous and many sick people bathe in its water, like in Lourdes, to be healed ). We have also been entrusted with the chaplaincy of 3 secondary high schools. The community works for the Vocation Pastoral of Wrexham Diocese and arrange regular programmed days of reflection in Holywell for all those who have signs of vocations but are not sure or are not yet oriented. Vocationist Fathers offer day of sharing-life with those who are training for priesthood or religious life, and personal meetings. Cooperate with seminarians and religious in offering experiences of vocational life. Actually the religious of this community are Fr. Salvatore Musella, SDV, Fr. Anil Akkara, SDV, 3 profess-students training for priesthood : Bro. Luigi Morrone, SDV, Bro. Roberto Ciardo, SDV, Bro. Benedetto D’ Autilia who attend lectures in Oscott’s college in Birmingham, and a Vocationist Oblate. Explore the website of : |
