Florham Park - Vocationist Fathers Community
In 1985, with the help of some friends, the
Vocationist Fathers
had been
blessed to have
throughout
the years, the Fathers started looking for a piece of land suited for
the construction of two religious houses: a
Vocationary for them and a
House of Formation for the
Vocationist Sisters. In 1986, once again, when all the avenues had
already been unsuccessfully explored, God pleasantly surprised the
Fathers. Through Mr. Lary Paragano, a dear friend, who had been helping
the Fathers find a property, a gentleman of the Jewish faith, Jack
Burstyn, let it be known that he was ready to donate 30 acres of land in
Florham Park, New Jersey, for the purpose of building two religious
houses for the Vocationist Fathers
and Vocationist Sisters.

"Thank you Jack"."You and your family have all
the Vocationist Fathers' and Vocationist Sisters' prayers and
gratitude!" replied
Fr. Mario.
God, many times and in many ways has shown to be
with the Vocationist Fathers and Sisters through his assistance. He
opened many doors door for them and became visible
through
his gift of many devoted friends. Some of them both helped the Fathers
and Sisters in building their House of Formation and are still actively
engaged in the establishment and growth of a Trust Fund,
The Shepherds
of Youth, which is designed to support the religious, educational
and social endeavors of the Vocationist Community. The Vocationist Fathers and Brothers live in community and take the
vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Their USA Headquarters and
House of Formation are located in Florham Park, NJ.
